Halloran & Co. is the only jeweler on the Outer Banks licensed to carry and sell official Wright Brothers First Flight Centenial merchandise.

The First Flight Centennial Foundation, a nonprofit corporation, was created in North Carolina to develop activities to commemorate the centennial of the Wright Brothers' first flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on December 17, 1903 and historical events related to the development of powered flight.

The Foundation has a precedent-setting agreement with the U.S. National Park Service to raise funds to benefit Wright Brothers National Memorial (the National Park Site in the Outer Banks at Kill Devil Hills, NC) the First Flight Centennial Celebration in December 2003, and to heighten awareness of the Wright Brothers and their achievements.
